I have a passion for growing clean, organic vegetables and herbs to use in my everyday cooking. I love providing my family with fresh, homegrown fruits and vegetables and cooking with the freshest ingredients, right off the plant!
About my Garden
After purchasing a traditional farmhouse home with over 2 acres of land, I knew exactly what I needed to do. And that was to create a magnificent garden in my own backyard full of vegetables, herbs, and fruit.
I never had that much space to build before so I jumped right in with wild excitement.
Have you ever looked at a situation and realize the huge potential right in front of you? That was my. Garden shovel and seeds in hand, just ready to go!
After purchasing my property, I had also realized I am in a completely different garden hardiness zone with an entirely different soil profile. I went from zone 6 with nutrient rich loamy soil that I had access to for about 5 months between frosts while living in New Jersey.
Then, after relocating from North Carolina, I started to learn the differences of living in red clay soil, zone hardiness 8a with a more generous window to grow fruits, herbs and vegetables!
About my Kitchen
Providing nutritious, clean and organic produce is important to me as a mom. I like to know where my food comes from. I enjoy sharing the recipes I create, or re-create, with my home grown veggies and herbs!
My goal is to hopefully inspire you to grow your own food and create restaurant quality meals right in your own kitchen!
Cooking doesn’t have to be hard or complicated. You don’t need crazy or expensive ingredients to serve nutritious and delicious meals to your family.
